Bay Area Discovery Museum
The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is a one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor children's museum at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, serving over 300,000 visitors per year on its 7.5 acre Sausalito campus. The museum asked us to help create a hardworking yet playful site that showcased the Museum’s vast array of programs and activities and offered an effortless online store experience for customers. Combining the power of e-commerce platform Magento and content management system TYPO3, we collaborated with BADM and the Taproot Foundation to organize their many programs into an intuitive structure and create a look that was bright and inviting, mirroring visitors’ experience at the Museum. The content is managed by TYPO3 which gives their small staff the ability keep the content dynamic by enabling them to easily make changes. Additionally camp registration, ticket sales and membership purchases were implemented in Magento.
